Tomato Chutney (side dish with idli, dosa, main coarse, parantha, puris, chapati) Ingredients 750 grams ripe and fleshy tomatoes (big sized) 1 tbsp everest teekha laal powder 1/2 tsp turmeric powder salt to taste Tempering 1 tsp mustard seeds 1 pod of garlic crushed 2 dried red chillies 3 sticks of curry leaves Method Heat oil in a kadhai add mustard seeds once they splutter well add crusged garlic cloves and broken red chillies Once garlic is light golden add curry leaves then add red chilli powder turmeric salt Immediately add sliced tomatoes make sure not to burn dry spices Mix well cover and cook on high heat tomatoes will release lots of water we need to evaporate the water first so cover and cook till water is evaporated and the mixture becomes little thick open and mix once after every 3 to 4 minutes in between so that they dont stick to bottom Once mixture is little thick lower heat as much possible cover and simmer till oil seperates on top dont forget to open and mix after every 5 minutes Once oil floates on top chutney is ready garnish with lots of coriander leaves Served as side dish with main coarse idli dosa uttapam puri parantha chapati Note: If u want to store this chutney longer in fridge use little more oil and evaporate the water completely Can be stored in air tight containers upto 15 days in fridge Use ripe and fleshy tomatoes for great result u can use little jaggery as well if u like sweet amd sour taste Ginger and garlic can also be used in this recipe but it is totally optional this chutney cam be made without ginger garlic too Take care jazak allah khair Tamatar ki chutney recipe tomato chutney tomato pickle recipe Tamatar chutney Idli dosa chutney side dish with main coarse chutney chutney recipe
